OUR DOGS

Thomas, the OG

Thomas came into our lives from a dodgy backyard breeder. When I met her she was left with her sister Molly. We of course adopted them both from the back yard, littered with cigarette butts, pizza cartons and beer bottles. Thomas was the most extra ordinary dog, she was amazing to train and played a vital role in the life of ‘her boy.’ The pair were inseparable. As she got older and was unable to do the things she used to she enjoyed her retirement to the beach, gentle water based physio with her physiotherapist and the best cocktail of medication to ease her arthritis, inflammation and pain that money could buy. Being a Labrador she had a few misadventures eating all of the things, including non-food items. She is sorely missed and fondly remembered. She taught us the most important lessons about the bond of a special boy and his doggo.

Maple

Is our Groodle, who came to us in 2019, knowing Thomas had only limited years left. We opted for an ‘oodle’ after years of cleaning up labrador floof. Killara ‘Kiki’ is an Aunty to the Titch Family of Labradoodles (or cousins in genetic terms!). When it was clear Thomas was no longer able to fulfil her obligations to her boy, we raised a new companion. Although their bond wasn’t as tight as Thomas, Killara is a fierce protector of her kids and rounds them up when they get into sibling squabbles. She enjoys fetch, laying in front of the fireplace and is a cuddle thief. Killara’s name is indigenous and her name means ‘permanet’ or ‘always there.’ She was named by our son who knew the bond he had with his Thomas for so many years.

Bowie

Killara

Born on April 5 2022 in NSW, Bowie joined our Titch family in July 2022. She was selected as her parents were used as facility visiting dogs. She grew up on a farm with alot of interaction with many farm animals. She is well socialised to other dogs, humand and farm yard animals. She is happy and doing all the dog things we expect from a Labrador. She lives with her amazing guardian family in Wilson, WA and likes long walks around Cannington Park and her human neices, who love her right back.

Bowies guardian in a nurse, who has spent alot of time training Bowie with tricks, skills and agility. Bowie is highly motivated by food, and she is highly trainable.

Bella

Born on May 3 in NSW to renowed breeder La Maison Shanza now Bella, joined Titch in July and did not waste a moment getting used to the laid back lifestyle of WA and our glorious weather. Her fleece, non-shed coat is a deep red and her confidence could match most human teenage girls. Bella lives in the lovely beach side town of Coogee with her best friend, who upon meeting Bella instantly claimed him as his very own best friend. Our beautiful guardian families allow us to do what we do best. Bella’s best friend will also be responsible for naming her puppies when they arrive. He has choosen Harry Potter to theme Bella’s puppies, arriving in Winter 2024.

We expect Bellas Puppies to be highly trainable, independent and confident.

Maple

Born in NSW on July 29, 2022 to Trusty Labs and acquired by our program for the long line of Therapy Dogs she comes from including her Aunt who is a working for Guide Dogs NSW. Maple is a first generation Labradoodle (Mum was a Labrador Emma Lou and Dad a Standard Poodle, Montie).

Maple has undertaken training, is very easy to train, so far shes a Mum in training helping to be an Aunty to Bella’s Pups. We expect Maple to have Summer 2024/2025 babies.

We already know she’ll be a patient Mum and very kind. Maple is smart and easy to train picking up most of the basics in under a week. Maple lives at Titch HQ.

Bodhi

Bailey

Izzy

OUR BOYS

Standard Labradoodle Teddy at the vet ready to be checked up

Born on 25 July 2022 to the Titch Doods breeder Mentor Shefferluka Labradoodles from Woodsy and Lola Bodhi is a really exciting prospect for Titch Doods. She is calm, nothing in the world phases her, she loves her guardian family and is training to become a facility dog, visiting schools with her teacher Mum. She loves her crate and has been a dream to train and work with. Her human Guardians have done a fabulous job with boundaries, positive reinforcement training and her temperament is divine.

We’re expecting Bodhi puppies in Autumn 2025.

Born 28 Feb, 2023 in QLD to Barkingham Palace. He is a fleece coat parti white and chocolate, small multi-generation Labradoodle. He is inquistive to the world around him, has a lovely beach side lifestyle with his Guardian family. He is the baby of the Titch family and the only boy in our program full time. We hope that he fathers some amazing puppies.

Izzy came to us in July and as a rehome from a breeder in Victoria. Her Mum originally purchased her to work in her therapy practice. She has a lovely fleece coat and a gentle nature. She lives with her Guardian family.

Izzy is not as confident as we might otherwise like and has a predisposition to be anxious when not within eye sight of her human. She is an exceptional therapy dog for her humans. At this stage we have no plans to make Izzy a Mum as we feel that her anxiety may be passed to her pups.

Whilst we think Izzy would make some very pretty pups her temperament will likley exclude her from the program.

Dad dogs dont have a lot of input into how a pups temperament develops, most of that work falls to the Mum (THANKS GUYS!) It is not recomended to introduce the male to pups until 4-weeks of age.

For this reason we have partnered with a number of fellow breeders for the use of their males. For which we are very grateful.

We only use males from fellow ethical breeders whose practice matches ours and that DNA, hip+elbow scores and vet checks are complete. Ethical practices are in place throughout every step of our program.

Teddy comes to us from Sheffaluka Labradoodles.

Stan is a Poodle with what his humans call ‘Golden Balls’ He has sired Poodles and two from that litter are working with WA Guide Dogs. He has had two litters of oodles and we have used his services, for our Bowie, to produce a brand new genetic line of Labradoodles for WA.

We are committed to ensuring the genetic pool of Labradoodles is kept broad until a breed book is opened for this breed.
